TouchKit touch controller pass WHQL
(Taipei ¨C Sep, 2005) TouchKit Inc. made an announcement that their entire series of touch panel controllers has successfully passed Microsoft¡¯s WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) testing and gained the ¡°Designed for Windows XP¡° logo. After TouchKit received a SBIR award in 2004, TouchKit launched a new generation of capacity controller, supporting both the interface of RS232 and USB. Currently, all TouchKit resistive and capacitive controllers have passed Microsoft¡¯s WHQL testing.
Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) provides testing and certification for Hardware Compatibility Test (HCT) kits, test information, and data for hardware testing and driver signing. Whoever passes this WHQL testing is qualified for the rights of using "Designed for Windows" logo and will be listed on the newest Windows Catalog for related manufacturer¡¯s reference for product design.
At this stage, TouchKit Inc has obtained the Microsoft WHOL certificate for its resistive and capacitive controller, supporting RS232, USB and PS/2 interfaces. Mei Tsai, the general manager of TouchKit, said, "The significance of obtaining Windows Logo certificate is that TouchKit¡¯s product quality and the stability of product drivers have met international standards. What¡¯s more important is the compatibility TouchKit products have with the mainstream operating system. This makes IT manufactures more flexible in its related product design and adoption for its component. This is also the best combination for touch panel related manufactures to buy in other products. "
Regarding the sales of TouchKit¡¯s touch panel controllers, not only many manufactures in Taiwan and around the world purchase the products, but also the worlds top IT and industrial computer manufacturers use our products. Currently, TouchKit is expanding its global market aggressively. We have entered Asian markets successfully, such as Japan, Korean, and China. TouchKit is also expanding its network into Europe and North America. To ensure TouchKit¡¯s leading position and global competitive advantage in touch panel industry, we are developing products in touch panel technique, for example, IR and SAW.
